Antenna matching

Optimize impedance match or total antenna efficiency

Choose the antenna port count, upload the corresponding Touchstone file, select the driven main port, and use the remaining ports as reactive tuning ports or 50 Ω terminations. The optimizer uses the full S-matrix, including coupling between ports.

Waiting for Touchstone
Secondary-port model Each secondary port can independently use 0–5 reactive tuning components or a 50 Ω termination.

Auto searches both alternating orientations for the selected component count.

Frequency bands

Optimize one network across multiple bands. Weight 1.0 = full priority; 0 = ignore that band.

S11 mode uses only the Touchstone data and is available for one- and multi-port antennas.

Matching component models

Choose ideal parts or real manufacturer S-parameter models

Vendor mode uses imported S2P models, including frequency-dependent loss and parasitics. Select the manufacturer and series separately for inductors and capacitors.

Interactive main-port editor

Editing S11. Edits are continuous across frequency: magnitude shaping preserves phase, phase shaping preserves magnitude, and Smith-chart shaping changes both. Use Tune frequency to shift the complete complex response lower or higher in frequency. Antenna edits do not automatically synthesize a new network; press Match when you want a new optimum.

Main port0–5 component conventional series/shunt matching network to 50 Ω
Component ports0–5 ideal reactive L/C termination networks that load the coupled antenna
Continuous antenna what-if editorSmooth magnitude/phase/Smith edits act across a frequency neighborhood; Tune frequency shifts the complete complex main-port response lower or higher
Explicit Match workflowAntenna edits evaluate the existing network immediately, but a fresh topology/value optimization runs only when you press Match
Multi-band synthesisAdd up to six matching bands and assign each a 0–1 priority weight; the optimizer normalizes each band before combining their scores
